Updates for April 2024

Easter egg hunts are back! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by mid-March.

1. When we CONFIRM an event for 2024, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
2. Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange.
3. The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you must call or email to confirm before you go.

Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so they will update us next year. Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, or simply never respond to email, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, Facebook pages and calendars. Besides egg hunts, there are also Easter breakfasts and brunches and Easter parades to watch!

Tygart Lake State Park’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for 2 p.m. on March 24. This event will be held on the lawn at Park Headquarters, and is sponsored by the Tygart Lake State Park Foundation. This event is free and open to the public. Free . Contact: 304-265-6148.

Event date and time: Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024 from 11 am until 2 pm. for the 2nd Camp Muffly Easter egg hunt! Registration for age groups will start at 11 AM and the hunts begin at 1 p.m. The hunts will be split apart by age groups and will have staggered start times. While you wait, you can enjoy some fun activities that we will have such as coloring pages, crafts, and more!
• Mason-Dixon Historical Park - Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Join us at Mason-Dixon Historical Park for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! This is a FREE event for kids. Registration begins at 12:00 noon, with fun games and crafts until the egg hunt starts at 1:30PM! The Easter Bunny will be available for photos!

  Rustic Church, 41 South Robert Stone Way, Reedsville, WV. Event date and time: Saturday, March 23, 2024  at 11:30AM. Join us for a festive Spring brunch at the Rustic Church. Limited space, reserve your seats today.

• Blackwater Falls State Park - Flashlight Egg Hunt:,
  Blackwater Falls State Park, 1584 Blackwater Lodge Road, Davis, WV 26260. Phone: 304-259-5216. Email: blackwaterfallssp@wv.gov. Event date and time: Good Friday, March 29, 2024 at 7 pm.  Easter Weekend at Blackwater Falls State Park starts with a fun Flashlight Egg Hunt and it is along trails/fields with yes, you guessed it, a flashlight. That’s right! As dark approaches, children ages 12 and younger will venture out in search of hidden eggs that contain treats and prizes. Hot chocolate and s’mores by bonfire compliment the evening fun. There is a $3 fee per child (2024 price) to participate - open to children 12 and younger and accompanied by an adult. Please bring a flashlight and a basket for egg collection. Dress for the weather.  No registration is required, so you can pay at the door.
