Updates for April 2025

Easter will be on Sunday, April 20, 2025, which is later, so the weather should be GREAT! ! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by early April. 

1. When we CONFIRM an event for 2025, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
2. Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange, as always, call or see their website before you go..
3. The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you REALLY must call or email to confirm before you go. They may have been discontinued.

Tygart Lake State Park's Annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for 2 p.m. on March 24. Join us at Mason-Dixon Historical Park for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! This is a FREE event for kids. Registration begins at 12:00 noon, with fun games and crafts until the egg hunt starts at 1:30PM! The Easter Bunny will be available for photos!

  Blackwater Falls State Park, 1584 Blackwater Lodge Road, Davis, WV 26260. Phone: 304-259-5216. Email: blackwaterfallssp@wv.gov. Event date and time: Good Friday, April 18, 2025 at 7 pm.  Easter Weekend at Blackwater Falls State Park starts with a fun Flashlight Egg Hunt and it is along trails/fields with yes, you guessed it, a flashlight. That's right! As dark approaches, children ages 12 and younger will venture out in search of hidden eggs that contain treats and prizes. Hot chocolate and s'mores by bonfire compliment the evening fun. There is a $3 fee per child (2024 price) to participate - open to children 12 and younger and accompanied by an adult. Please bring a flashlight and a basket for egg collection. Dress for the weather.  No registration is required, so you can pay at the door.
