Updates for December 2024

Easter egg hunts are back! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by mid-March.

When we CONFIRM an event for 2024, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange.
The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you must call or email to confirm before you go.

Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, or simply never respond to email, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, Facebook pages and calendars. Douthat State Park - Easter Egg Hunt

Event date and time: In previous years, it was held on Saturday before Easter Sunday, so it may be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024(but be sure to check on their website or call them first) from 1 pm to 3 pm. At the Beach Complex. Bring the whole family to join the Easter Bunny and search for over 3,000 hidden eggs. Activities start at 1 p.m. with the Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. In addition to the egg hunt, enjoy games, programs about rabbits, and make an Easter basket from recycled materials, all for free. The "Little Critters Traveling Petting Zoo" returns this year, featuring alpacas, sheep, miniature donkeys, miniature horses, pygmy goats, potbelly pigs, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs. Bring your camera to take pictures with the Easter Bunny while he walks around. No pets are allowed at the Easter Activities. Bring an appetite - food is available for purchase all day.

Gilkerson Community Activities Center. This is a free event for children 0 through 5th grade. No registration required. Drop in any time between 10am and 12pm and find 10 eggs to collect your prize.
