Easter will be on Sunday, April 20, 2025, which is later, so the weather should be GREAT! ! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by early April.

When we CONFIRM an event for 2025, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange, as always, call or see their website before you go..
The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you REALLY must call or email to confirm before you go. They may have been discontinued.

Los Indios - Easter Egg Hunt

Join Eric Garza, District Clerk of Cameron County, as he hosts his Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Los Indios City Park. Get the kids ready, bring your baskets and have some fun with the family. Port Isabel Lighthouse - Easter egg hunt

Event date and time: Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.The Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site and the City of Port Isabel will host the 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of the Lighthouse on Saturday, April 19th. This event is free and open to the public. HUNT STARTS AT 10 am.
This year’s hunt will also include a HISTORY HUNT! RED eggs marked with PORT ISABEL LIGHTHOUSE STATE HISTORIC SITE will be scattered among the other eggs!
It’s a different kind of “hunt”. Thousands of eggs will be scattered on the hill of the Lighthouse. Participants will need to bring their own baskets and will line up on the north and south sides of Lighthouse Park. At 10 a.m. the starting line will be released, and the fun begins. The Easter Bunny will also be making an appearance and posing for photos.
The Keeper’s Cottage Visitor Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Lighthouse will be open at 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission: $5 adults; $4 seniors; $3 children. Parking available around the park. (956) 943-0735.
