Updates for April 2024

Easter egg hunts are back! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by mid-March.

When we CONFIRM an event for 2024, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange.
The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you must call or email to confirm before you go.

Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, or simply never respond to email, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, Facebook pages and calendars. We invite the ENTIRE community to join us for the FIRST EVER Great Helicopter Easter Egg Drop. We’re dropping thousands of plastic Easter eggs from a helicopter…yup, you heard that right - a HELICOPTER! Pre-register your children on their eventbrite website to participate in one of FOUR age-specific egg hunts with over 10,000 eggs! The Easter Egg Drop is a FREE Easter Egg Hunt open to the first 1,200 pre-registered children in our community up to age 10. There will be TWO golden eggs with FREE Beaufort Academy Tuition (new students only) and tons of other gift certificates! The fun doesn’t stop at the Egg Drop, we’ll also be having a Bounce House Area ($5 per child), Tux the Clown Balloon Animals, Face Painting, KONA Ice, Funnel Cakes from the Drive-in, CRAVE Cupcake, DJ Donna & Music, and of course the EASTER BUNNY! Beaufort Academy clubs will also be selling hot dogs, drinks, and snacks! If you choose not to participate in the Egg Drop, you are more than welcome to attend the festival. Here's what you have to look forward to in 2022. Children of all ages will be able to partake in the fun Easter egg hunt, which is separated into three age groups to ensure maximum eggage. The hunt begins at 10 am at the Shelter Cove Community Park, when a massive amount of eggs are dropped by helicopter! Admission is free, and special golden eggs containing awesome prizes are hidden amongst other colorful eggs. The fun doesn't stop at the Easter egg hunt this year - this festival is complete with carnival games, bounce houses, zip lines and live music. Local Hilton Head shops will be on-site with concessions - if you can keep the kids from eating all the delicious Easter egg candy first!
