Or an Easter parade, Easter brunch or breakfast or other Easter events in Southern Rhode Island?  Scroll down this page and you will see all of those in Southern Rhode Island, sorted by county. ALWAYS either see their website or call before you go to confirm the info, there are often last minute changes which they do not report to us!  If you have missed the Easter egg hunts in your area (or they were canceled), see this page about how to easily have your own backyard or local park Easter egg hunt.

Updates for June 2024

Easter egg hunts are back! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by mid-March.

  1. When we CONFIRM an event for 2024, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
  2. Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange.
  3. The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you must call or email to confirm before you go.

Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, or simply never respond to email, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, Facebook pages and calendars. Newport County

  • OceanPointe Christian Church Annual Foam Blaster Easter Egg Hunt - Easter egg hunt,

This walk-through Easter egg hunt is unlike any other, so make sure you bring your GAME FACES, Nerf guns and plenty of darts! In 2024, OceanPointe is hosting its fourth annual Easter Egg "Hunt" This year you will walk through a maze that has been created throughout the inside of OceanPointe Christian Church. You will use your own dart guns from home to shoot a variety of Easter eggs, and have the chance to shoot The Golden Egg to win a prize!!!! OceanPointe will provide 100 bullets, but your family will need to bring a personal supply if you wish to have more. You will not receive these back once they are shot at the targets, so bring enough to make it through the maze. There will be a candy chute at the end of the maze, so please bring your own Easter baskets or bag to ensure that you collect all of your candy that is going to fall from the second floor of the building!!!! 
    You must pre-register for this event! Please reserve one ticket per person that will be attending the event, even if you are not participating. The ticket time slot indicates your ARRIVAL TIME. Bring your children to Casey Farm for some springtime family fun, complete with a candy-filled egg hunt. Explore the farm, visit the chickens and rabbits, play farm games, have some light refreshments, and make some crafts Egg hunts are for children in age groups from 0 - 4, 5 - 7, and 8 - 12 years old. Grown-ups with children are free. Advance tickets required for all participating children.  In 2024 cost is Members: $7; Nonmembers $17. Directions: Take I-95 to Route 4 south to Route 138 east (Newport/Jamestown exit). Turn right onto Route 1A before the Jamestown Bridge. The farm is one mile on the right.   • Ocean House - Easter Egg Roll and Easter Egg Hunt

  • South Kingstown Annual Easter Egg Hunts - Easter egg hunt, flashlight egg hunt

Event date and time: No update yet for 2024, if they DO hold it, based on past years, it MIGHT be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from at 10:00am. Morning hunt for ages 5 and under. There are also other egg hunts on the same day for other age groups:
    Also on Saturday,Under the Lights Hunt for children ages 6 & 7 years old at Old Mountain Field on the softball field. This hunt starts at 7:30 p.m. There is also a "Flashlight Hunt" for ages 8 - 10 years old at Old Mountain Field on the baseball field. This hunt starts @ 8:00 p.m. Kids, don’t forget your flashlights. (regular size that uses no more than 2 “D” size batteries!!)
    REMINDER to Parents: We ask that you please adhere to the age limits for each hunt and that you DO NOT bring BAGS, BASKETS or PAILS to the hunts! Children must be accompanied by an adult! RAIN / SNOW DATE - In the event of rain tcall for the rain date.  NO BAGS or BASKETS - Carry what you can!
  • Weekapaug Inn Easter Egg Hunt - Easter egg hunt,
    Weekapaug Inn, 25 Spray Rock Road, Westerly, RI. Event date and time: Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM, The hunt starts promptly at 11:30 am.  2024 Fees/Admission are Complimentary for Ocean House & Weekapaug Inn guests and Members and $15 per child for outside guests. The Inn and the Guest Lawn will be buzzing with excitement as children race to the finish line, collecting treasures (toy Easter eggs made from 100% recyclable material) and treats along the way. Any children who find a golden egg will receive a special prize! Reservations are required, and tickets for this event are non-refundable.
