Updates for December 2021

It looks like egg hunts will be returning in 2021! Unfortunately MANY are waiting until literally the last minute to publish their plans and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in.  Those we KNOW are having an event in 2021 are highlighted in yellow, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.

RELATED: You may also want to go to a local farm to Pick Your Own fruit and vegetables; strawberries start very soon in most areas! Farms will be open, and it's quite safe out in a field, where people are not close to each othger!

ALWAYS click the links to check date and time with the event's own website, as there are often last minute cancellations, postponements or changes to locations due to weather (like heavy rains) or logistical problems, just click on the link to the event's website and (in most cases), you want to click on the "events" link or "calendar" link on their website. Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so they will update us next year. Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, or simply never respond to email, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, Facebook pages and calendars. Event date and time: We don't yet know if they are holding it in 2021, but based on the 2019 date (it obviously wasn't held in 2020), if they do hold it, it SHOULD be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 (but be sure to check on their website or call them first as we cannot find an update for this year yet),  from 10 am to 11:30 am. Bring the family to Casey Farm and hunt for plastic eggs. Each ticket includes a coupon for half a dozen fresh Casey Farm eggs . Explore the farm, visit the chickens and chicks, enjoy farm games, and make an Easter craft. Refreshments available. Rain or shine. Free to Historic New England members, $10 per nonmember child. Registration required. buy online. Please call 401-295-1030 for more information. Directions: Take I-95 to Route 4 south to Route 138 east (Newport/Jamestown exit). Turn right onto Route 1A before the Jamestown Bridge. The farm is one mile on the right. From Newport, take Route 138 west to the Narragansett exit. Turn right onto Route 1A.   • Ocean House - Easter Egg Roll and Easter Egg Hunt

Event date and time: Based on the last time it was held, it SHOULD be held on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 (but be sure to check on their website or call them first as we cannot find an update for this year yet),  from 10 am to 12 pm. Hop on over to Ocean House for the annual Easter Egg Roll and Hunt! A cherished tradition for young and old, the event include prizes, great photo opportunities and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny himself. $15/ child (hotel guests and members are free). Held on the Ocean House Lawn. 2018 Price: $15/ child (hotel guests and members are free). Reservations for this event are booked over the phone, please call 888-552-2588.
  • South Kingstown Annual Easter Egg Hunts - Easter egg hunt, flashlight egg hunt

Event date and time: We don't yet know if they are holding it in 2021, but based on the 2019 date (it obviously wasn't held in 2020), if they do hold it, it SHOULD be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 (but be sure to check on their website or call them first as we cannot find an update for this year yet), from at 10:00am. Morning hunt for ages 5 and under. There are also other egg hunts on the same day for other age groups:
    Also on Saturday,Under the Lights Hunt for children ages 6 & 7 years old at Old Mountain Field on the softball field. This hunt starts at 7:30 p.m. There is also a "Flashlight Hunt" for ages 8 - 10 years old at Old Mountain Field on the baseball field. This hunt starts @ 8:00 p.m. Kids, don’t forget your flashlights. (regular size that uses no more than 2 “D” size batteries!!)
    REMINDER to Parents: We ask that you please adhere to the age limits for each hunt and that you DO NOT bring BAGS, BASKETS or PAILS to the hunts! Children must be accompanied by an adult! RAIN / SNOW DATE - In the event of rain tcall for the rain date.  NO BAGS or BASKETS - Carry what you can!
  • Wilcox Park, Providence RI Easter Egg Hunt - Easter egg hunt

Price: Free. Children ages 1-8 will enjoy hunting for Easter eggs and meeting with the Easter Bunny and Lucky the Duck in Wilcox Park in downtown Westerly, RI. Event begins at 1pm with youngest age group first. This event is free to all!
