Updates for April 2025
Easter will be on Sunday, April 20, 2025, which is later, so the weather should be GREAT! ! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their
dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up
to date by early April.
- When we CONFIRM an event for 2025, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this
passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
- Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange,
as always, call or see their website before you go..
- The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our
best guess! These you REALLY must call or email to confirm before you go. They may have been discontinued.
RELATED:
ALWAYS click the links to check date and time with the event's own website, as there are often last minute cancellations, postponements or changes to locations due to weather (like heavy rains) or logistical problems, just click on the link to the event's website and (in most cases), you want to click on the "events" link or "calendar" link on their website.
Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so
they will update us next year. Since many egg hunts do not publish the
current year's dates until the very last minute, or simply never respond to
email, we may not get their
current information, which is why we have links to their websites, Facebook
pages and calendars. Besides egg hunts, there are also Easter breakfasts and brunches and
Easter parades to watch!

web site's Calendar for this year's details.). Kids are invited to an afternoon of fun at the annual Hayes Easter Egg Roll, which replicates the White House
Easter Egg Roll that Rutherford B. Hayes started when he was president. This Easter tradition will look a little different this year with additional safety
protocols and some traditional and modified activities to keep participants safe during the pandemic. Three one-hour sessions of activities will be
offered on the Hayes Home lawn for kids ages 3 to 10. The event is free, but tickets are required. All attendees over the age of 3 must reserve
a free ticket in order for Hayes Presidential to limit crowd size. You
do not need to reserve a spot for kids 2 and younger. Kids ages 3 to 10 can also bring a pre-decorated egg to enter in the decorated egg contest.
Other activities include a scavenger hunt, story reading, a craft and corn hole toss. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and be available to
take photos with event participants. The Egg Roll is sponsored by Roots Poultry Inc. In the event of inclement weather, some of the
activities, including corn hole, story time and the craft activities, will be moved into the museum.
