Easter will be on Sunday, April 20, 2025, which is later, so the weather should be GREAT! ! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by early April.

When we CONFIRM an event for 2025, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.

The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you REALLY must call or email to confirm before you go. They may have been discontinued.

Governor's Easter Egg Hunt - Easter egg hunt

The Governor's Easter Egg Hunt is held at Cedar Crest each year. Hosted by the Governor and First Spouse the event is for children ages one to nine. The event is free, and a free shuttle service from the Security Benefit parking lot on S.W. 6th to Cedar Crest usually begins at 8:30 a.m. Handicapped-accessible parking will be available in the parking lot west of Cedar Crest. The hunt is usually divided into four age groups: one- to two-year-olds, three- to four-year-olds, five- to six-year-olds, and seven- to nine-year-olds. Children are usually able to interact with the Easter Bunny and other favorite characters.

Directions: Click here for a map and directions. Payment: FREE. Join us a week before Easter, on Saturday, for TRC's FREE Easter Egg Fest! All families with kids 10 years of age and younger are invited to join us for some Easter fun! Turner Recreation Commission Center for an egg hunt, games, snacks, and more! This is a free family event. Please bring your own Easter basket or bag to collect eggs.
Event will run from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Egg hunts are grouped by age:
Ages 8-10 hunt begins 10:30 am
Ages 5-7 hunt begins 10:55 am
Ages 0-4 hunt begins 11:20 am. (ADDED: March 11, 2021)
