Updates for April 2025

Easter will be on Sunday, April 20, 2025, which is later, so the weather should be GREAT! ! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by early April.

When we CONFIRM an event for 2025, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange, as always, call or see their website before you go..
The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you REALLY must call or email to confirm before you go. They may have been discontinued.

Bounce houses! Playground! Games! Hot dogs and more! It will be a fun-loaded spring-fest for the whole family! at our north soccer field for our Community Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30a, with food, inflatables, and door prizes available starting at 11a. There will be separate hunting zones for ages 2-3, 4-5, and grades 1-3 and 4-6.

Summit Lake State Park, 5993 N Messick Rd, New Castle, IN 47362. Email: dnrwebmaster@dnr.IN.gov. Event date and time: Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 12 pm to 3 pm. Weather permitting. Free with Standard Park Admission. Come out and celebrate Easter with an Easter egg hunt! Over 2,000 eggs are used during this event. The event is free with park admission. This event will take place at the Nature Center and Harvey Shelter. Noon - Face Painting, Games, and the Easter Bunny. Cotton candy, popcorn, and drinks available for a small fee. Donations go to the Nature Center and naturalist programs. 1 p.m. (sharp) - Egg Hunt. Kids ages 1-4, 5-8, and 9-14 will have separate hunting areas.
