Looking for a local Easter egg hunt for your children? Or an Easter parade, Easter brunch or breakfast or other Easter events in East of Atlanta (Newton, Walton, etc.)?  Scroll down this page and you will see all of those in East of Atlanta (Newton, Walton, etc.), sorted by county. Updates for April 2025

Easter will be on Sunday, April 20, 2025, which is later, so the weather should be GREAT! ! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by early April. 

1. When we CONFIRM an event for 2025, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
2. Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange, as always, call or see their website before you go..
3. The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you REALLY must call or email to confirm before you go. They may have been discontinued.

Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so they will update us next year. Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, or simply never respond to email, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, Facebook pages and calendars. Besides egg hunts, there are also Easter breakfasts and brunches and Easter parades to watch!

Exercise your brain and body on this short trail. Stop by the park office (trading post), pick up a trek card and set off on a self-guided hike on our Nature Brantley Trail. After the trek, return to the park office to pick up your EGG-citing award! Bring water, bug repellent and wear closed-toe shoes. $5 parking. 706-557-3001.
• Hard Labor Creek State Park Spring Wagon Rides with the Easter Bunny - Easter activities,
  Hard Labor Creek State Park, Rutledge, GA. Phone: 706-557-3001. Event date and time: multiple dates, see their website.  1 PM to 3 PM. Hard Labor Creek State Park - Rutledge, GA. Enjoy a guided wagon ride around the campground and cottages with your family and everyone's favorite rabbit. A great photo opportunity. Rides take place every 20 minutes from the mini-golf area. Timed tickets sold in advance, please contact the park office (after March 26). Walk-ins prepare to wait. $3, kids age 2 and under free. $5 parking. 706-557-3001.
• Hard Labor Creek State Park Glow-in-the-Dark Mini Golf - Easter activities,
  Hard Labor Creek State Park, Rutledge, GA. Phone: 706-557-3001. Event date and time: multiple dates, see their website. 7:30 PM to 9 PM. Hard Labor Creek State Park - Rutledge, GA. Come and enjoy our miniature golf course in a different light - at night! The park will be keeping the mini-golf course open late and provide glow-in-the-dark accessories. We will provide glow in the dark golf balls and the course itself will have markers to assist players in navigating each hole. Please bring a flashlight, bug repellent and cash. $5 cash only $5 parking. 706-557-3001.

• Stone Mountain Easter Service - Easter service - no egg hunt
  Stone Mountain Park, Antebellum Plantation, Hwy 78, Stone Mountain, GA. Phone: 770-498-5690. Event date and time: Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025  And see this page for upcoming events at Stone Mountain. They do NOT have an Easter Egg Hunt; They do have an Easter Service, though. Sign Language Interpreter for the Hearing Impaired at the base of the Mountain on the Memorial Lawn. Please allow an extra hour or more for large crowds. Vehicle entry to the park is $10 for a one-day permit or $35 for annual permit. Church vans and buses enter free. 2015 Tickets and 2015 prices: Vehicle entry to the park is $15 for a one-day permit or $40 for annual permit. Church vans and buses enter free. Skyride fees are $10 for round-trip and $6 for one-way. There are no fees for the walk-up trail to the top of the mountain. For visitors staying the day, they can purchase the Adventure Pass for $29.95 for adults and $24.95 for children.
