Updates for April 2024

Easter egg hunts are back! We've started updating the info for this year. Unfortunately MOST wait until the last minute (often just a week before) to publish their dates, times and details. We're updating their information daily as it comes in. We expect pages to be up to date by mid-March.

1. When we CONFIRM an event for 2024, the date will be highlighted in pink, like this passage to make them easy to find as you scroll down the page.
2. Hunts that were held in the past year or 2 but not yet confirmed for this year are in orange.
3. The ones NOT in either orange or pink are more dubious - held in the past but not confirmed in the past few years, so just our best guess! These you must call or email to confirm before you go.

Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, or simply never respond to email, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, Facebook pages and calendars. Friends of Belle Isle Easter Egg Hunt held in the Picnic Area. Grab your Easter baskets and hop on down to Belle Isle State Park for the Annual Friends of Belle Isle Easter Egg Hunt. The egg hunt kicks off at 11 a.m. sharp.  The egg hunt is open to all children ages 1 to 12. Children will be divided into four age groups: 1-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12. Event date and time: No update yet for 2024, if they DO hold it, based on past years, it MIGHT be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 10 am to 1 pm, hunt at 11:00 am sharp. Plan to join the hunt! Stratford Hall’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will again be sponsored by Northern Neck Lodge #32 of the Fraternal Order of Police. The hunt will begin at 11 a.m. SHARP so plan to arrive early. Kids will need to bring a basket or other container to hunt with. Over 4,000 eggs will be “hidden” on the large Oval field in front of the Great House. Areas will be roped off for each age group: 0-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Prizes will be awarded in each age group and for finding a golden egg! Volunteers will be assigned to each age group to record this information. During the “egg tabulations,” the Fraternal Order of Police will provide a hot dog lunch. No rain date. Does not include a Great House tour.
