Updates for December 2018

December: Easter Sunday will April 21, 2019, If you plan to hold an Easter egg hunt, add or update your information as soon as you can. In 2018 most Easter egg hunts were held on either Saturday, March 24, 2018 or Saturday, March 31, 2018. ALWAYS click the links to check date and time with the event's own website, as there are often last minute changes due to weather or logistical problems, just click on the link to the event's website and (in most cases), you want to click on the "events" link or "calendar" link on their website. Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so they will update us next year.  Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, facebook pages and calendars. See their events calendar. There are also Easter breakfasts and brunches and Easter parades to watch!

Aiken County

This is a free, family event.
  • Grace United Methodist Church Easter egg hunt - Easter egg hunt

Games and crafts will be held after the egg hunt.
  • Rosel Hill Estate Old Fashioned Egg Hunt  - Children's Easter egg hunt, Adult Easter egg hunt

Join us for the Annual Children's Old Fashioned Egg Hunt at Rose Hill Estate in downtown Aiken! Stay for family friendly games, a visit with the Easter Bunny and a stroll around the historic grounds. This event is free, but cash or check donations are encouraged to benefit children's programming at the Aiken County Public Library. Children should bring a basket for the egg hunt that begins at 10 am. Rose Hill Estate is located at 221 Greenville St NW and families should enter on foot through the iron gates on Greenville St. For more information, please contact the library at 642-2020 or Rose Hill at 648-1181. Parallel parking on Greenville St & Barnwell Ave. And on the same day, there is also an Old Fashioned Adult Egg Hunt, following Steeplechase, Rose Hill Estate will be featuring our inaugural Adult Egg Hunt from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. The adult egg hunt features hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, grand prize eggs, corn hole, the possibility to win gift certificates to popular local restaurants and shops in Aiken, and giant Jenga. All proceeds are given toward The Friends of the Aiken Public Library and will directly benefit the Library. Tickets are $30 and may be purchased at the gate on Greenville Street NW
  • St. Paul’s Aiken, SC Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Cross Decorating Event - Easter egg hunt
    St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Rd, Aiken, South Carolina 29803. Phone: (803) 649-4021. Event date and time: Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 10 AM to 12 PM.  This year's 12th Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt and Cross Decorating will be held on Saturday March 31st, from 10:00am - 12:00pm. Everyone is invited and open to the community. There will be plenty of goodies for all. We'll gather in the Fellowship Hall for crafts, egg decorating, snack decorating, and fellowship. Afterwards, all children wishing to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt will gather in the Gathering Area for instructions about the hunt that will take place outside. If the weather does not allow an outside hunt we will continue with the Easter Egg Hunt in the Education Wing. Following the Easter Egg Hunt, children and adults may participate in decorating the cross with flowers in the courtyard.

  • Lexington Annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt & Carnival in the Park - Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt
    Gibson Road Soccer Complex, 400 Duffie Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. Event date and time: Friday, March 16, 2018, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Your ticket will include entry to the Carnival and Easter Egg Hunts! All Carnival activities are included with your ticket purchase. The Carnival portion will consist of carnival rides, inflatables, games, cotton candy, popcorn and more! Palmetto Amusements will be hosting this year's carnival. Local restaurants including Buffalo Wild Wings, Private Property, Travinia's, and Uno's will be selling various items from their menus. Each menu item will be $5 or less.
    The Easter Egg Hunts will be for ages 0-10 and will have over 100,000 plastic candy-filled eggs and even more treats on the fields! Each child may only hunt one time! Each child hunting must have a responsible adult on the field with them at all times. Also see this page.

Event date and time: Based on last year's date, it SHOULD be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 (but be sure to check on their website or call them first as may have changed) from 9 am to 5 pm. Hop down the bunny trail to EdVenture Children’s Museum for an eggstra-special Spring Carnival on Saturday, March 26 from 9am to 5pm and March 27 from 12-5pm. Snap a picture with the Easter Bunny, participate in a BIG Easter egg hunt in the museum,jump like the easter bunny in a moon bounce, and enjoy face painting, art activities, snow cones, popcorn and carnival games! Free with museum membership or admission. And the museum will be open on Easter Sunday  for eggs-tra special surprises Dinos the Big Dig from noon to 5 pm. The carnival is free with museum membership or admission and will include a museum-wide egg hunt, springtime art activities, face painting, a moon bounce and carnival games.

This event is for the entire family. It will be held on the grounds of Crosswell Baptist Church. The event is all inside (indoors),  except for the Egg Hunt. The Easter Story will be presented and of course an EGG HUNT. The Egg Hunt is for births through 5th Grade; There will be the egg hunt, Bible story time and refreshments.
