June: Easter Sunday will be April 21, 2019. Most Easter egg hunts
are being held on the Saturday a week before Easter,
or the day before Easter Sunday. Based on an annual commitment to one another, community members
provide a pre-season payment to purchase a “share” of the season’s
harvest. The member then receives a weekly box of a wide variety of
fresh vegetables and fruit through the growing season, harvested at
the peak of ripeness and flavor. Events start in April and continue
through December and can include Pony Rides, Moon Bounce, Wagon Train
Ride, “Corn Kingdom,” climbing the Giant Hay Pyramid, visiting with

Suits’…Spring Activities and Easter Come

Barnyard has celebrated spring with an annual Easter Egg Hunt. This is
the one time we offer pictures with our baby animals as well as the
opportunity to hunt for eggs. To make this event enjoyable for all
ages, we limit the amount of eggs per child. The price for this one
day event includes a Barnyard bucket filled with carrots as well as 10
eggs per child and unlimited time at the petting farm. Egg hunts were
reported on their website in November 2018 to be are at 10:30am, 12pm,

Hunt is open to all children up to 9 years of age who are Jefferson
Township residents. Each child should bring his/her own basket to
collect the eggs, and there will be a maximum of ten eggs allowed per
basket. All children will receive a gift from the Easter Bunny, and
there will be opportunities to take photographs with him, so parents
should be sure to bring a camera. The Recreation Department will
be accepting donations for township residents in need of food through
the township’s food pantries. Especially needed are non-perishable
food items, but paper products, household products, and/or toiletries

travels up the NJ Transit Montclair to Boonton Line. The ride lasts
about an hour and passes the historic Boonton Rail Yard where
passengers can see numerous locomotives and rail cars being restored.
The train will take a short break and then return to Wayne. During the
train ride the Easter Bunny hops through the train to visit all the
kids and to give them a special gift from his Easter basket. Adults:

Bunny turns into a train conductor every year in Morris County as he
leads rides on a train along the Whippanong Trail. The train leaves
the station at the Whippany Railway Museum and travels along the
historic Morristown & Erie Railroad and returns to the station after a
10 mile journey on the Springtime Streamliner. The rides are known for
selling out early so you are advised to buy your tickets early online.
The train also operates throughout the summer and for a pumpkin
festival and for Christmas.
